Every year on September 10th, we celebrate Teachers' Day. Teachers are the greatest people in the world, in my opinion. They teach us how to write and read, and more importantly, they teach us how to be real men. They are kind to everyone and do not want anyone to fall behind. Teachers are not only our teachers but also our friends. They love us very much, and we love them, too.

On the first Sunday of October, we celebrate Teachers' Day. The celebrations usually take place on Friday. I made cards by myself as gifts for my Chinese, math, and English teachers. Today, I sent the cards to them.

China, as a developing country, is determined to catch up with and even surpass the developed countries. School education is very widespread, and there are so many books and knowledgeable teachers ready to teach students. Through school education, students can have a better understanding of the world.

However, in the past, students in China had to endure the miseries of learning by rote. Teachers have stifled creativity in the pursuit of the accumulation of facts, and parents have forced textbooks upon them in order to further their education. What they study involves a lot of subjects, not only English.

From my first day in elementary school, my class teacher was good to me. I remember there was a midterm exam where I did not do well. I saw the papers with the words "not serious" and cried. But the other teachers finished their papers, revised after each question, and did a second take. They encouraged me, believing in me when I did not believe in myself. How big is the teacher's hope for me？

Teachers play a crucial role in our growth and development. They not only impart knowledge but also inspire us to be better individuals. Their dedication and love for us are unmatched. We should always be grateful for their hard work and sacrifice.
