To Hit the Books:
学习,尤指为了应对考试而刻苦学习。例如:“I have to hit the books for my final exams next week.”(下周我必须为了期末考试而刻苦学习。)
To Hit the Sack:
上床睡觉。例如:“It’s time for me to hit the sack, I’m so tired.”(是时候上床睡觉了,我太累了。)
To Twist Someone’s Arm:
说服某人做他原本不想做的事。例如:“He managed to twist my arm into agreeing to go to the party.”(他成功说服我同意去参加派对。)
Pull Yourself Together:
冷静下来,控制自己。例如:“After hearing the bad news, she couldn’t pull herself together.”(听到坏消息后,她无法振作起来。)
Be in Two Minds About sth.:
