English Learning Journey

When I was in Grade 7, my English was very poor. I even couldn't understand what my English teacher said in class. I felt so upset that I wanted to give up English. One day, Mrs Zhang, my English teacher asked me to go to her office and had a long talk with me. She encouraged me to study English well and gave me some good advice. This helped me a lot. I became confident from then on and made much progress. I believe my English will be much better in the future.

My English Learning Method

I like English. I think I can share my English learning method with you. First of all, develop interest on English. My way to make it is to watch movies from abroad. At first, I will watch the movie with subtitle. Then I will remove the subtitle, only English left. Gradually, show great interest in English. Secondly, recite vocabularies. Vocabulary is the necessary foundation to start learn English. This time you have to force yourself to remember words. Thirdly, understand basic grammar thoroughly. It is hard for me to understand the meaning of a sentence if I don’t know the basic grammar. Last but not least is to speak.

Why We Should Learn English

English is the most important language in the world and it is one of the most important subjects in junior high so we should learn it well. Learning English just like learning other language, is hard work so we should spend lots of time on it every day. We should have good ways of learning English, such as listen to the teacher carefully, review what is learned regularly, prepare each lesson carefully before class, do our homework carefully, copy good sentences and recite them and attend English debbates and speech contests. Whats more, it is very useful to listen to English programs and read English magazines and books. When we make progress in English, we will have more opportunities to communicate with people from different countries and broaden our horizons.
